Sustainable reporting is based on transparency

As the leading Austrian logistics company, GW has drawn up its sustainability report pursuant to the internationally recognised GRI standard and has been distinguished with the GRI quality seal.

If the issue is transparent and measurable reporting on the theme of sustainability, then the reporting parameters of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) non-profit organisation form an internationally recognised standard. According to this standard, a sustainability report must fulfil a variety of criteria, from the reporting structure to a detailed list of different figures from several reporting fields. As the first Austrian logistics company, GW has drawn up a sustainability report pursuant to the GRI standard and has arranged for GRI to audit it.

Documented quality and transparency
"We decided on the GRI standard, since we thereby underline our pioneering role on the issue of sustainability. In drawing up a report on sustainable business activity, quality and transparency are significant aspects which we document in this report", says Peter Waldenberger, sustainability manager for Gebrüder Weiss. Last year, 1,400 companies worldwide drew up their sustainability reports on the basis of the GRI guidelines; this is a growing trend.
