Gebrüder Weiss will be relying on market leader in Portugal
Direct transports to Porto and Lisbon/Montijo, further terminals in Aveiro and Covilla, a full-coverage collection and distribution system and the most modern information technology: the new partnership with Rangel will mean substantial benefits for Gebrüder Weiss customers.
Founded in 1980, this company – just like Gebrüder Weiss – is privately owned and, with its range of services, covers all aspects of global integrated logistics. In addition to that, the company has been ISO-certified for international groupage transport since 2004. With the exclusion of Switzerland, Rangel will be working with Gebrüder Weiss from 1st June across the entire area of the GW organisation.A key aspect of this cooperation is that Rangel is a member of System Alliance Europe (SAE). This gives GW customers the assurance that its partner works in accordance with the same service and quality standards which will be an important improvement in the previous flow of information. With immediate effect, Gebrüder Weiss can provide universal tracking and tracing and online proof of delivery for Portugal.
Because of Rangel's position as market leader in Portugal, GW is expecting a considerable strengthening of existing transports to and from Portugal and an extension in the direction of the Central and Eastern European countries. The partnership contract applies to all Austrian branch offices, for GW Memmingen and all Central and Eastern European locations.
