GW Salzburg opens new logistics centre in Bergheim
Beginning on 1 December, GW Salzburg bundled its entire logistics business at its new location in Bergheim to create the ideal conditions for providing even better integrated solutions.
Increased efficiency through the consolidation of external warehouses
With an area of more than 13,000 m² the new logistics centre includes a high bay warehouse and offers sufficient space to meet the requirements of increased demand for customised solutions. At the same time, GW Salzburg can simplify internal processes through bundling logistics resources at one location. "It is our goal to offer each customer a tailor-made solution, optimise logistics processes and in so doing, create a win-win situation for both parties," says Logistics Manager, Franz Schrofner.
Complete solution provider for Salzburg and Europe
The logistics centre is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and meets all requirements for efficient warehouse management. Centralisation cuts back on numerous HGV trips and simplifies logistics processes. The new logistics centre originated from a previous central warehouse belonging to the trading group, ADEG. The centre was adapted and reconstructed according to both GW as well as customer requirements. This property cements GW's position as a comprehensive provider of logistics and transport solutions in the Salzburg region, Austria and Europe.
